SSROC manages over 250 suppliers, across over 42 categories of various goods and services. One of the primary roles of SSROC is to engage in collective procurement of goods and services that enables suppliers, industries, government agencies and councils to collaborate in an innovative, progressive and sustainable procurement that will deliver long term economic as well as environmental and social benefits.
This contract encompasses the provision of retail electricity for large market sites, including street lighting, as well as small market sites. It also covers feed-in tariffs and the supply of large-scale renewable energy, supporting sustainable energy solutions and contributing to a greener future.
Estimated savings are a combination of energy cost and environmental scheme costs savings, typically shown as a Large-scale Renewable Energy Target (LRET) charge on electricity bills.
These savings are the combined outcome of approaching the market at a time of relatively low prices, and a contract price fixed in 2021, as well as the commercial scale electricity load of the PEERS3 group.

The contract commenced on 1 July 2021, with seven road construction specifications intended to promote and increase the use of recycled products for council resurfacing and rehabilitation road pavement programs.
A major benefit of the contract has been in replacing natural sand in asphalt with recycled crushed glass (RCG), creating a market for waste glass from kerbside recycling that is not suitable for recycling into glass containers, contributing to resource recovery rates, and reducing carbon emissions attributable to associated transport.

This contract focuses on the collection and processing of unwanted mattresses and ensemble bases, with the aim of diverting these materials from landfill through recycling and reusing .
By implementing this service, we help reduce the illegal dumping of items on public land, promoting a cleaner, more sustainable environment for the communities of participating SSROC member Councils.

This contract involves four participating SSROC member Councils and ensures that all materials collected are managed in strict compliance with the NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA) waste management guidelines. Key aspects of the contract include:
- Recover reusable items
- Recycle materials that can be Recycled into the productive economy
- Process or treat the remainder for resource recovery
- Dispose of materials that cannot be Reused, Recycled or used for energy production, in an appropriately licensed Landfill.

This contract is for the provision of comprehensive, sustainable waste management services, specifically designed for the disposal of civil, road, and associated waste materials generated by the participating Councils.
It includes the resupply of specified, reusable road and civil materials. Additionally, the contract includes the provision of skip bins, delivered and collected from designated sites, and the collection of waste materials from either site locations or depots, ensuring efficient and eco-friendly waste management solutions.
